(For Preschool to Primary School Teachers)

This practical workshop will show how to use a range of highly engaging evidence-based teaching and learning strategies including circle time, cooperative learning, thinking tools and good quality children’s literature to teach wellbeing and resilience skills and understandings. Participants will learn how to teach their students how to

  • Develop social and core values including ethical and intercultural understanding
  • Develop strategies for coping and bouncing back
  • Find courage in everyday life and difficult circumstances
  • Think optimistically and look on the bright side
  • Amplify positive emotions and manage unpleasant emotions
  • Develop friendship skills
  • Develop skills for countering bullying
  • Develop skills and attitudes for being successful

This practical all day workshop introduces the multiple award-winning BOUNCE BACK! program - a K-6 preschool and primary school positive education program. It was first published in 2003 and it is now in its 3rd edition.

The age-appropriate activities from preschool through the primary school years link to all curriculum areas.
